The 2020 edition of the Cartier Women’s Initiative is officially open from now until 14 August 2019, at 2 p.m. CEST.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative is an annual international business programme that aims to identify, support, and encourage businesses that are led by female entrepreneurs and has done so for the past 13 years.

Through its partnership with INSEAD Business School, the initiative is not only seeking out companies run by women but also businesses that meet at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These 17 global goals, set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for 2030, are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while being conscious about protecting the environment.

The seven laureates, one from each region, will each receive US$100,000 in prize money and the two runner ups in each region will also each receive US$30,000. In total, Cartier will present US$1.12 million to the 21 finalists.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative also offers these finalists the invaluable experience of four-month-long coaching from senior-level INSEAD alumni in preparation for the second round of the competition, and the 7 laureates year-long individualised mentoring support following the Awards ceremony.

More information on the initiative, eligibility, and the application process can be found on their website.
