Cartier has exclusively revealed to BAZAAR that the award-winning film director Sofia Coppola is to take on a formal position as a ‘friend’ to the jewellery house.
Coppola, who appears in a series of portraits wearing the latest model of the Clé de Cartier watch, is a longstanding devotee of the luxury jewellery brand: she owns, among other pieces, a Cartier wedding ring, a watch, various bracelets and a ‘Panther’ ring given to her by her husband.
“Cartier has playfulness and they have pieces that come apart and turn into other things. There’s something fun about discovering that,” Coppola told us. “A great Cartier piece has its own story.”
