From style icons like Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Lauren and Carla Bruni, to modern day divas like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Zendaya, Bvlgari has always been inextricably linked to strong, empowered women who, much like its dolce vita designs, shine brilliantly in the limelight. Thus, it came as no surprise to anyone when the Italian house announced that it would pay further tribute to these leading women and their ilk with the launch of its Divas’ Dream collection in 2016.
With a name that leaves little doubt about its aspirations, the debut of the Divas’ Dream collection saw Bvlgari expanding its fine jewellery offerings with a contemporary range—one that runs the gamut of easy casual-chic numbers to add that bit of sparkle to the day, to more elaborate ones that up the diamond quotient for dressier affairs (though we never say no to glamour for any time or occasion).

The collection’s alluring fan-like leitmotif, inspired by the mosaic floors of the historical Baths of Caracalla in the jeweller’s birth city of Rome, also introduced into its fine jewellery universe a new shape that had thus far only appeared on its high jewellery; imbuing the new designs with a sense of distinction for its sophisticated blend of historical and modern design. Then, in 2018, with model and brand ambassador Lily Aldridge lending her impeccable style to the campaign, Bvlgari did what it does best and introduced pieces that dazzled with a vivacious spectrum of coloured gems that dripped unmistakably with Bvlgari finesse.
Fast forward to this year and we see Bvlgari continuing its celebration of strong, independent women once more with its newest additions to the collection. Available in luscious rose gold, the new Divas’ Dream designs are made to inject a pop of colour into the modern wardrobe. A pink opal and diamond parure of a pair of earrings and a pendant necklace pairs beautifully with the equally graceful white mother-of-pearl and ruby stackable cuff for cosy sweater days out about town. Cocktail soirées call for the sapphire and diamond parure (with graduated blue or pink tones) that dress your face with a gentle shower of glittering lights with earrings and a pendant necklace. Or for a more ornate touch, there’s the openwork pendant sautoir (with adjustable length) that juxtaposes the collection’s clean, sensuous curves with diamond-lined fan details and a vibrant malachite insert to further draw the eye.
Graphic and modern, sensuous and elegant, the Divas’ Dream collection is a study in stylish contrasts with its play of volume and colours that heighten its sartorial versatility. And with such an encompassing range of designs to choose from, you can expect a fun mix-and-match experience to create a look that will let you shine in your true way. Now, that’s what we call the diva treatment.
