Sotheby’s Hong Kong Spring Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite sale is set to take place on 5 April. Leading that auction is the De Beers Millennium Jewel 4, a 10.10-carat, oval, Internally Flawless, Fancy Vivid blue diamond that is a whole lot sexier than its name suggests.

Originating from the renowned Cullinan Mine in South Africa, the diamond is one of 12 rare stones that make up the celebrated De Beers Millennium Jewels collection, which was first unveiled by De Beers in 2000 in celebration of the millennium. It's the only oval-shaped stone in the collection and, now, it has honour of being the largest oval fancy vivid blue diamond ever to appear at auction.

Did we mention that the stone is estimated to go under the hammer for US$30 to 35 million? Here's what else you can buy for the same price:

15 Luxury Yachts

10 Rolls Royce Ghosts

1 personal jet plane

Jackie Collins' sprawling Beverly Hills mansion that includes a screening room, gym, gourmet kitchen, art gallery and swimming pool on its 21,784sqft locale.

All for a gemstone that's roughly as big as a medium-sized grape. You can view a video of the diamond here.
