Designer Simone Ng has taken inspiration from art history for her latest collection. The new Simone Jewels fine jewellery pieces have all been inspired by famous masterpieces, including one that can be found in Singapore’s National Museum.
In Ng’s hands, Van Gogh’s The Starry Night has turned into a choker, earrings and ring made from unheated star sapphires, pearls and diamonds; Kitao Masayoshi’s Cherry Blossoms has become a ring sporting sapphires and diamonds; while the Black Capped Kingfisher from The William Farquhar Collection has become the vibrant Kingfisher Paradise ring, featuring an unheated peridot, to pay homage to Singapore on its 50th anniversary.
