Italian designer and former model Elsa Peretti, who is synonymous with American jeweller Tiffany & Co., is behind many acclaimed creations that have made their mark in history. Among her timeless and minimal designs, one iconic piece has stood the test of time: the Elsa Peretti Bone cuff.
First introduced in the ’70s, the sleek design is characterised by a fluid shape and an ergonomic sensuality that informs Peretti’s jewellery. Powerfully feminine with an effortless ease, the sculptural cuff was designed specifically for the right and left wrists — to be worn as a pair — seamlessly contouring to, and “becoming one with the body.”
“I have always been interested in the mechanics and its feel: every jewelry piece should be captivating and comfortable to wear.”

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Bone cuff has been reimagined in vibrant red, blue and green hues as part of the house’s latest special-edition collection — a tribute to the designer’s love of colour. Other variants available this month include carved stone styles that nod to “the sublime beauty that Peretti finds in nature”, featuring sterling silver with black jade or turquoise, and gold with green jade.
50 years on, Tiffany & Co.’s Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff — that has garnered fans such as Liza Minnelli, Catherine Deneuve and Margot Robbie — remains the perfect blend of strength and grace. Here, global talents including our EIC Kenneth Goh honour Peretti (who’s now 80) and her innovative spirit.
