Cartier pays homage to Paris, diamonds and sultry bombshell Marilyn Monroe in their new Christmas holiday film celebrating the brand’s affinity with the the sparkling gemstone. Karen Elson plays the red-haired ingénue who opens the iconic red box, slips on the diamond ring and completely transforms into the Queen of Paris, if only for a night (or 90 seconds). Follow along as our heroine traipses through the rue de la Paix to place Vendôme, from Concorde to Grand Palais, whirling and twirling to the tune of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” from the 1949 movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
