Met Gala 2024: The Best Beauty Looks
Bold blush, statement hair, and vibrant lips ruled the night.
Today is the first Monday in May, which means the 2024 Met Gala has officially arrived. Along with the attendees’ glamorous gowns and avant-garde suits—chosen to interpret this year’s theme, “The Garden of Time”—we’re also keeping a close eye on all the best beauty looks from the event’s red carpet. Blush was a huge hit on the carpet this year, worn high on the cheekbones. Micro bangs are also back this year, as seen on supermodel Ashley Graham and actor Taylor Russell, along with coquettish hair bows (a beloved trend that never really left), worn by stars like La La Anthony. Taraji P. Henson
Hairstylist TYM Wallace used products from TPH by Taraji to create this stunning floral and bejewelled hair look that was inspired by Diana Ross and Minnie Riperton.
Sydney Sweeney
Celebrity hairstylist Glen Oropeza gave actress Sydney Sweeney a dramatic beauty makeover with a black wig instead of her signature blonde waves. He used a host of Kérastase products, like the Kéerastase Elixir Ultime Original Oil, to get the look.
Kylie Jenner
Jenner paired a soft makeup look with a sleek chignon accented by a single rose. The result was elegant and retro, and will surely serve as bridal beauty inspo all year long.
Sabrina Carpenter
“Our look today was all about glowing, fresh skin and our inspiration is delicately fierce,” makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez says about the Espresso singer’s look tonight. She used Cetaphil skincare and the Solawave device to achieve the perfect base for makeup.

Makeup artist Karina Milan used Beauty Pie makeup and skincare on Venus Williams for the Met Gala, but we’re equally obsessed with the shiny paillettes sewn into her braid that mirrored her gown.
Lana Del Rey
Makeup artist Etienne Ortega used a mix of Charlotte Tilbury and his own eponymous products for the Met Gala. For her lips, he used the Soft Contour Lip Liner in Cinnamon Girl with the Agave Glow Color Stick in Petals.
Quannah Chasinghorse
There is so much beauty to be found in Quannah Chasinghorse’s Met Gala look, but we’re particularly find of the soft wash of lilac and periwinkle eye shadow on her lids that matches her statement gown. Chasinghorse’s hair was styled by John Paul Mitchell Systems Artist Director, Paula Peralta using Paul Mitchell products, and her makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Katey Denno using Half Magic Beauty and Live Tinted beauty products.
FKA Twigs
The hair! The earrings! The skin! The crystals! FKA Twigs has inspired us to pull out some lash glue, tweezers, and a pack of loose rhinestones.
Pam Anderson
Though Pam Anderson has been recently going makeup-free at fashion shows, the iconic actress wore the most gorgeous natural makeup paired with a soft updo for her first-ever Met Gala, accented by a dramatic nude feather.
Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner’s center-parted hair was accented with a set of braids, along with a no-makeup makeup look that placed blush at center stage.

Greta Lee looked ethereal on the red carpet, with rosy cheeks and glowy cheekbones, while her rock-star-inspired haircut (styled by Jenny Cho for Fekkai) added a welcome edge to her delicate look.
Queen Latifah
Along with her vibrant honey-brown-to-blonde ombré bob, Queen Latifah’s accent braids gave us plenty of hair inspiration.
Ashley Graham
Ashley Graham’s micro bangs were the perfect accent to her sleek-yet-tousled updo.
La La Anthony
We’re loving La La Anthony’s bronzy monochromatic makeup look and high ponytail, which was topped with one of the year’s It accessories: a hair bow.
Jennifer Lopez
Giving us major red-carpet glow was Jennifer Lopez, who paired a stunning custom Schiaparelli haute couture metallic gown with equally glowing skin.
Ayo Edebiri
Edebiri embraced pink florals with a statement blush that matched her dress. Makeup artist Dana Delaney was inspired by a freshly bloomed dewy flower and kept the star of The Bear’s skin radiant, courtesy of the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask and Facial Treatment, before going in with a vibrant pop of baby pink.
Tyla
Tyla just took glitter to a whole new level. For the singer’s debut Met Gala, she took the “time” from “The Garden of Time” theme quite literally and accessorized her hourglass-esque Balmain nude dress with actual sandlike glitter. She complemented her sandy look with a sharp cat-eye and nude lip.
Taylor Russell
Taylor Russell always pulls up to a red carpet in a showstopping look, and this year’s Met Gala was no different. The actor brought glamour to the carpet with a double cat-eye look, tiny curtain bangs, and a peachy-nude lip.
Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid channelled Marilyn Monroe with a bright red lip and retro Hollywood bob. In true spring fashion, she kept her eye makeup fairly subtle and her cheeks slightly flushed.
Kerry Washington
The Scandal star debuted a chic pixie cut–with the help of plenty of Conair pins–on the red carpet, alongside pink and purple glam to channel spring awakening. Makeup artist Carola Gonzalez used a pale pink blush from Bobbi Brown on her eyes and cheeks for a monochromatic look.

Doja Cat
After shutting down the red carpet last year dressed as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette, Doja Cat does it again with another simple yet striking look. Before slipping into her red carpet ensemble of a wet dress, the singer left her hotel looking, well, wet and straight out of the shower with runny mascara and a Crown Affair hair towel.
