The Tod’s Di Bag Gets A Glow-Up
Two new variations of the royal and celebrity favourite have just been released
As the Kate Middleton saga recently proved, our collective fascination with the English royal family seems to know no bounds. But when it comes to enduring style icons from The Firm, no one was more influential than the late Princess Diana. Until today, the looks she wore and the pieces she carried remain an indelible part of the fashion lexicon—hardly a season goes by without an image of her popping up on a designer’s mood board somewhere. It has also been given a slightly pillowy look, which brings the Nineties mainstay straight into these new Twenties.

In line with what we’ve been seeing on the runways and in pop culture recently, there is also a version of the Di Bag Reverse that has been elongated in a way that brings to mind ladylike purses popular in the mid-century—more Capote’s Swans than Lady Di.

Meanwhile, the Di Bag Mini satisfies shoppers’ unending appetite for teensy bags. Scaled down to an adorable size and given a removable shoulder strap, this new incarnation expands the Di’s appeal to a younger generation, especially when rendered in more statement hues such as lime, sky blue and lipstick red.
