I've struggled with acne for as long as I can. Whenever I tell people this, it's immediately followed with a "Oh is it because you have oily skin?" Funny thing is, I don't! My skin is extremely and awfully dry. As I've grown up, I've found some ways to tackle and treat my specific skin type so it's nicer to me and that's what's important. My skin isn't always wonderful and perhaps it'll never be totally perfect but I'm always hopeful that it will be better. Aside from the dryness and acne, I also have a lot of darkness around my eyes and bad eyebags.

I've found the core step to my skin looking and feeling better is hydration. I've been around and tried it all but recently I love the Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream. I apply a generous amount all over my face and then a thicker layer right under my eyes for maximum hydration better I need it most. I also love the Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry! Makes my lips super soft and I like that unlike some chapstick, it won't dry out your lips even more if you stop using it.

I like to think I take pretty good care of my face but the same isn't true for the rest of my body (which is also very dry!) Recently I've been loving the OUAI Rose Body Oil. I love applying it over any dry patches I may have (like on my elbows) to soften the skin up.

As for acne? Well for me, someone who loves makeup and wears it often, it's important that I remove my makeup properly so that it doesn't clog my pores! I love using the Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water on a cotton pad for this. Sephora Collection's waterproof eye makeup remover is also a must for me to remove any waterproof makeup like mascara or liquid lipsticks. And when I want to treat myself, I go to Elizabeth Arden’s The Red Door for facials.

What about makeup, you might ask? No matter how bold or simple the look I'm doing is, there's always THREE products that I find myself reaching for almost every time. First being the Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Primer - it gives my dry and full skin such a soft and smooth finish. Helps the makeup stay on for so long! NARS Sheer Glow foundation is honestly magic in a bottle and a dream come true for anyone with textured skin. It doesn't emphasize any type of skin texture at all - looks almost like you're Photoshopped in real life! And lastly, my trusty Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape concealer. I just keep coming back to it! It has amazing coverage that doesn't emphasize darkness or texture and it really pulls every look together. My ultimate must have!
