It is that time of year when local talents are spotlighted and recognised for their outstanding performances at Singapore’s biggest annual award show, the Star Awards. This year marked the 30th anniversary of the prestigious event so as expected, all the stars were dressed to impress, and, of course, had their glam to match. Not a strand out of place or eyeshadow unblended, these celebs served everything from soft glam and bold red lips to slicked-back ponies and mermaid hair. From rising stars like Chantalle Ng to veterans like Fann Wong, we’ve gathered all our favourite beauty looks from this year’s Star Awards.

Ferlyn Wong

Hot off the Emerald Hill train, Ferlyn G stole the show with full glam and a sleek high ponytail. She switched out her off-duty natural makeup look for thick black eyeliner, strong brows and a neutral matte lip.

Chantalle Ng

Emerald Hill and Hope Afloat star Chantalle Ng let her fabulous dress do all the talking, but she complemented the look with glam that brought out her soft facial features. Her makeup was subtle, featuring a small wing and wispy lashes, and a warm wash of colour on the cheeks—sophisticated yet youthful.

Fann Wong

We are all Fanns of Fann Wong (pun fully intended). The star went for full glam with a shimmery reddish-brown eye look, cat-eye-style lashes, bold brows and a perfectly shade matched lippie.

Felicia Chin

Felicia Chin channelled her inner boss lady with a tailored suit, and kept her hair and makeup classically feminine. She sported loose waves with subtle glitter eyeshadow on the inner corners, a wispy lash and a bold lip.

Joanne Peh

Joanne Peh looked like a tanned goddess at the Star Awards. She let her flawless skin shine with minimal base makeup, chiselled cheekbones, a slicked-back bun, and a red lip for a pop of colour.

Jernelle Oh

Jernelle Oh kept things fun and fresh with her hairdo. She sported a spiky bun with parted baby bangs. As for her makeup, Jernelle opted for a soft glam look with bronze eyeshadow, razor-sharp winged liner, straight brows, and a peachy matte lip.

Shelia Sim

Emerald Hill’s Shelia Sim’s look was serving full glam, and we’re here for it. She leaned into the drama with a smokey eye, complete with bronzed eyelids and lower lash line. She also paired the fierce eye look with strong, angular brows, sharp yet perfectly blended contour lines, and her side-parted pixie cut.

Sharon Au

A bright red lip never hurt anybody! Sharon Au made waves with her striking appearance at the Star Awards. Blessed with immaculate bone structure, the star emphasised her sharp features with contoured cheeks, a slicked-back low bun and the star of the show—a bright red lip to match her dress.

He Ying Ying

He Ying Ying’s long voluminous mermaid hair stole the show. Tousled to perfection, the star’s warm brown locks complemented her minimal makeup look, which consisted of a tiny brown wing on the eyes, warmed-toned blush and a neutral glossy lip.

Germaine Leonora

The DJ that’s blessed with a pretty face and a pretty voice—Germaine Leonora. She stayed true to her natural, everyday glam but added a touch of purple shimmer to her eyes for a hint of drama. She also had her hair up, with face-framing tendrils, gelled-down baby hair, and a low, spiky bun.
