When it comes to musicians, why not take a look closer to home? The local music scene has plenty to offer, with budding pop artists and indie singer-songwriters. And here’s a plus side to stanning them—it’s much easier to catch their performances since they’re in the same city, as long as you keep an eye out for their showcases and concerts via their social media platforms. Without further ado, here are 14 local musicians you have to check out, pronto.

1. Regina Song

Regina Song is our national lover-girl. Her 2024 album, fangirl, received overwhelming support, with “the cutest pair” reaching over 63 million streams on Spotify after going viral on TikTok. Besides having opened for singers Grent Perez and Matt Maltese, Regina was also the only Singaporean nominee for Best Asian Song at the annual Music Awards Japan 2025. Look out for her album, Everland, which includes exciting tracks like “Your Charm”, “Dreamer’s Song” and “CGI”.

2. Last Minute

This Singaporean five-member band is bringing a fresh sound to Singapore’s alternative music scene. Known for their rustic alt-rock energetic sounds, Last Minute, led by main vocalist and songwriter Ren Gene, explores music for underrepresented youths with songs like “Bullet Train, “Prescribing God (to the broken hearted)” and others. Besides opening for indie-pop artist hongjoin and collaborating with global headliners Plain White T’s, the band has also hit the stage for the Singapore Grand Prix 2024 and MyBeats Music Festival 2025.

3. Krunkle

Krunkle is a Singaporean indie-rock band known for their explosive, introspective soundscapes. Their impressive track record includes standout sets at major regional festivals like Baybeats Singapore and Big Mountain Music Festival Thailand, opening for Jakob Ogawa, The Get Up Kids, Summer Salt, and sharing stages with bands like Midnight Fusic, Bedchamber and Jirapah across Southeast Asia. 

4. Estelle Fly

Once a member of the J-pop idol group Sea*A, Estelle Fly has since made her transition as a solo artist. Her latest four-track mini-album, Zone, features her exploration with life’s emotional landscapes and finding her newfound confidence. She has recently been named a Spotify 26 Radar SG & MY artist. Tune in to releases like “gone” and “crazy stupid love” to see what this rising young artist is like when she’s in her zone.

5. Tasha Low

The Singaporean actress and singer best known for her performance in Emerald Hill - The Little Nyonya Story (2025) is starting to become a familiar face in the local music scene. In the early 2010s, Tasha Low was a member of then South-Korean girl group Skarf as their vocalist and leader. Since the group’s departure, she’s since debuted as a soloist with singles like “Everything You Wanted”, “Need This Love” with South-Korean singer Moon Sujin and rapper BLASÉ, as well as “Dangerous” with American rapper Junoflo.

6. WhyLucas

Lucas Wang, better known as WhyLucas, started to gain popularity after placing 18th in season two of the Chinese-Thai idol survival show Chuang Asia. He has since performed at music festivals like IGNITE! Music Festival 2024 and Skechers Sundown Festival 2025 alongside artists like K-Pop star HWASA. His latest discography from his Orange Juice Box album include tracks like “Tiara”, “Weekend Plans”, “Tulips” and more.

7. Haven

With a following of 1.2 million and counting on TikTok, this 20-year-old pop singer is making waves with her original music and guitar covers on the social media platform. Haven describes her music style as more pop and R&B, which is apparent in her most popular singles “No Hard Feelings” and “Easy”, as well as her recently released song “Nobody Else”.

8. Josh Makazo

Josh Makazo’s music exists in the contemporary dark R&B space, as he explores the darker side of adolescence through his lyrics. Makazo’s single, “half of my heart”, went viral on TikTok and gained 2.3 million streams within 60 days of its initial release.

9. Jean Seizure

A notable artist in the local music scene, Jean Seizure’s discography includes “I Know”, “Sights” and “Chemistry”. She’s also well-loved on TikTok for her short acting videos, and was cast in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales #27, a series of female-led short films commissioned by Miu Miu, in which she performed her own stunts.

10. Shazza

You may recognise this local singer from a viral Crash Adams TikTok video from 2023, where she collaborated with the Canadian pop duo and sang a freestyle verse on their song, “Good Side”. Thanks to that viral TikTok, Shazza’s music career is on the rise, and she’s since released delectable tunes such as “Right Person, Wrong Time”, “Olivia Dean” and “Pity Party“.

You might know Lullaboy (aka Bernard Dinata) for his songs “someone like u” and “shortcut to heaven”. In 2025, the singer-songwriter became the first Singapore artist to perform at Summer Sonic in Bangkok. He will soon be embarking on a tour across Asia to promote his newest album, hotels & heartbreaks, featuring songs like “my forever”, “me without you”, with stops in Seoul, Taipei and Singapore.

12. Shye

Shye, whose full name is Trinity Shye-Anne Brown, has a Singaporean mother and British father. The singer-producer, who graced our March 2026 cover, oversees her entire song-making process, from writing to recording and producing.

hongjoin is a local musician whose love for music has propelled him to produce several albums spanning genres such as indie-pop, alt-rock and R&B. His first full-length album, CLOCKWORK, will be the centrepiece of his upcoming Singapore concert this July.
