The South Korean actor wore one of the brand’s newest watches, the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds in rose gold with a Milanese bracelet, which is a first for the brand. “The bracelet and dial are the same colour and in the photos, it seemed a little too much at first. But when I actually saw it, it was really pretty and I like it a lot,” said Kim.
Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore sat down with Kim for an exclusive interview, where he shared his thoughts on Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 2025 line-up, what time means to him and how he spends his time when he is off the clock.
What is your favourite Jaeger-LeCoultre collection?
The Reverso is a very important watch to me. I know it has over 90 years of history and although it is quite old, it still has a very modern taste to it and because of its versatile design, I will be able to wear it in different way as well.
If you had to engrave something on the watch, what would it be?
It’s quite difficult for me to decide right away but I have been with Jaeger-LeCoultre for four years and I think it would be good to engrave the first day that I started working with [the brand]—the day and month engraved on the Reverso.

If I were to pick one from the new line, I would definitely pick the Reverso Tribute Geographic. The reason why I like it a lot is because it is double-sided and I can see what time it is around the world at all times, which is helpful because of my schedules in and outside of Korea. The combination of colours is also very nice.
What does time mean to you? If you could choose, would you go to the past or the future?
I believe time is a finite thing and because of that, it is very important and I focus on the [present]. Back in the day, I did think a lot about the past and what I could have done [differently] but nowadays, I really like the present and to live it fully.
How do you make full use of your time when you’re not working?
I’m a person who tends to live in the current moment, every day. So, it is different from time to time. I like to exercise, go to the gym and meet people who are important to me. I also spend time reading scripts for my next drama or movie.

You play a genie in your upcoming drama. If you had three wishes, what would they be?
My first wish is for more people to experience what I have experienced today at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s [booth]. My second wish would be for everyone to have a good time and a very memorable experience at [Watches and Wonders]. My third wish is for all the Koreans who have come down to Watches and Wonders to return home safely.
