My Royal Nemesis

We’re always ready for a good enemies-to-lovers trope, especially when there’s time travel involved. In this new series, a Joseon-era villainess (Lim Ji Yeon) finds herself in modern-day Seoul in the body of an unnamed actress. She can’t quite put her finger on it, but every time that ruthless chaebol heir (Heo Nam Jun) crosses her path, it just rubs her the wrong way.

Reborn Rookie

Doctor on the Edge

Sometimes, the best things in life find you in the most unexpected ways. Doctor on the Edge follows Do Jiui, an aspiring plastic surgeon assigned to a remote Korean island, as he navigates through life’s uncertainties alongside dedicated nurse, Yuk Hari. The series stars Lee Jae Wook (The Impossible Heir, Alchemy of Souls) and Shin Ye Eun (The Murky Stream, Revenge of Others).

Doctor on the Edge is now showing on Disney+.

5 June 2026: Teach You A Lesson

Based on the popular Webtoon series Get Schooled, Teach You A Lesson follows Na Hwa Jin, an inspector from the Educational Rights Protection Bureau who is sent to a troubled school to reform bad kids using whatever means necessary. We’re excited to see how Kim Mu Myeol brings his character alive in this all-new adaptation.

Teach You A Lesson premieres on Netflix on 5 June 2026.

19 June 2026: Husbands In Action

Husbands In Action stars Jin Sun Kyu as Chung Sik, a workaholic detective. But when he discovers that his ex-wife has suddenly been kidnapped, he finds himself having to team up with her current husband Min Seok (Gong Myung) to figure out a way and get her back.

Husbands In Action premieres on Netflix on 19 June 2026.

Heo Mun O, a failed writer turned Korean literature professor, becomes enamoured with a gifted engineering student. When intrigue twists into something more obsessive, can the former prodigy guide his student’s brilliant mind to the right path?

Late 2026: Portraits of Delusion

Who doesn’t love a storyline with vampires? Suzy graces our screens again as Song Jeonghwa, a beautiful yet heartbroken vampire who enjoys commissioning portraits of herself. Things take a turn when she hires Yoon Iho (Kim Seon Ho), a painter with a mysterious past, to paint her as an elderly woman.

Late 2026: Made in Korea: Season 2

How far would you go for success? Kitae (Hyun Bin), a man from 1970s South Korea, lives a double life as an intelligence agent by day and a dubious business man by night, and things seem to be going well for him until he’s confronted by a prosecutor determined to bring him down.

In the next season, we’ll see the two powerhouses clash once again, after one took a fall and the other rose through the ranks in season one.

Made in Korea: season 2 premieres in late 2026 on Disney+.

Late 2026: A Shop For Killers: Season 2

Season one took 2024 by storm, and now the drama is set to make a comeback later this year. Starring Lee Dong Wook as Jeong Jin-man, Jeong Ji-an’s (Kim Hye Jun) shady uncle, season two will see the duo turn the tables on their attackers and pursue mercenaries.

A Shop For Killers: season 2 premieres in 2026 on Disney+.

2026: The Husband

Kang Tae-joo (Namgoong Min) leads a busy life as a neurosurgeon turned hospital director, and must face off a ruthless criminal to save his kidnapped wife, Ko Se-yoon (Lee Sul). This romantic thriller is perfect for any K-drama fan who likes a little kick to the usual romance-driven plot.

The Husband premieres in 2026 on Disney+.

2026: The Remarried Empress

Based on the webtoon of the same name, The Remarried Empress follows Empress Navier (Shin Min A) as she goes down the path of reclaiming her monarch status after her husband returns home with a mistress and demands a divorce. In retaliation, Empress Navier sets off to marry the crown prince of the Western kingdom, Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk), and unexpectedly paves the way for political intrigue and romance.

The Remarried Empress premieres in 2026 on Disney+.

The Koreans

In March, Disney+ announced its production of The Koreans, an upcoming reinterpretation of the award-winning FX series The Americans created by Joe Weisberg. The series follows two elite North Korean spies, Lee Byung Hun (Squid Game, No Other Choice) and Han Ji Min (Heavenly Ever After, Love Scout) as they pose as South Koreans to bring down the South government from within. Watch them redefine themselves through the lens of patriotism, loyalty, identity, and love. 

The Koreans premieres on Disney+. The release date is yet to be announced.
