Samsung commemorated the launch of its Galaxy Fold smartphone in Singapore last Thursday at Paragon Singapore with a panel of taste makers and Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore’s Editor-in-Chief Kenneth Goh as the moderator. The evening was filled with conversations on technology and fashion with Nejla Matam-Finn, founder of The Fifth Collection; Sheila Sim, model turned filmmaker and Jamie Wu, TV producer and fashion influencer.
The panelists shared their personal fashion journeys and on how technology played a pivotal role in it. For them, embracing technology seemed like a natural step in their growth process as a creative and as an entrepreneur. Matam-Finn for example, co-founded a technology named Entrupy with her husband and a group of researchers that’s capable of authenticating luxury goods up to 99-percent. Sim, translated her in-depth fashion knowledge and experience in-front of the screen to film making, and Wu capitalised on her huge social media following into a business in fashion. Goh, who has helmed the title of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore’s Editor-in-Chief, spoke at length about the evolution of media and how technology is an integral part of its future.
