Alexander Wang
After endless speculation of Alexander Wang's fate at Balenciaga, the news are confirmed: the designer will leave his role as Creative Director at the French fashion house.
Though the exact reasons for his departure could not be confirmed, the search for Wang’s successor is in its early stages. While we might be expecting another prominent designer to helm the label’s creatives, Kering released a statement saying that they are “open to considering a lesser-known, hidden talent for the plum post, emboldened by the positive feedback and outpouring of goodwill it had in promoting Gucci insider Alessandro Michele to succeed Frida Giannini at the helm of the Italian brand earlier this year”.
We guess this means the “who’s next” would remain a mystery. Till then, we look forward to the buzzy designer's possible last runway show for Balenciaga’s spring 2016 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
