On July 8, Fashion and Cultural Festival—Indonesia’s premium fashion presentation—unveiled Fashi(ON) Line, a new fashion show concept showcasing the works of Indonesian and international designers.

Participants presented their ready-to-wear and cocktail collections via a choreographed video sequence set at the airport, helipad, football field in lieu of physical runway shows due to the pandemic that’s affecting the world now.

More than 25 Indonesian fashion designers such as Poppy Dharsono, Denny Wirawan, Alleira Batik, Steven Huang, Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan and Rama Dauhan took part in this initiative.

Project Director of Fashion and Cultural Festival, Ollie Dhirendra says: “As iconic country in Asia, the role of Indonesian Designers must equal with international designers. Therefore, we are also inviting the established fashion designers from Venezuela, Jordan, Netherlands, Nigeria, Australia, Malaysia, and Belgium.”

Fashi(ON) Line also partnered with Let’s Share Indonesia Foundation and organised by Gemalindo Kreasi Indonesia to raise funds on kitabisa.com to equip the healthcare workers with personal protective equipment.
