A new retrospective celebrating the work of French couturière, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel, has opened at the Victoria & Albert (V&A) Museum.

The exhibition—featuring more than 200 looks displayed together for the first time alongside jewellery, accessories and fragrances—is based on the Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto exhibition previously organised by the Palais Galliera, Fashion Museum of the City of Paris. Reimagined for the V&A, expect rarely seen pieces from the V&A's collection and archive pieces from Chanel's heritage collections, including outfits created for and worn by Hollywood stars Lauren Bacall and Marlene Dietrich.
