Multidimensional power dressing at its finest

There is a power that comes to dressing well, a force that encourages confidence and drive. This cerebral approach to fashion was an integral part of Salvatore Ferragamo’s fall 2020 collection, in which designer Paul Andrew virtually brought philosopher Carl Jung’s female archetypes to life. From the mother and the maiden to the queen and the mystic, he decided to combine all seven personality traits, positing that women today do not fit into a single box. They are, to be sure, multidimensional. They can command attention while also imparting a nurturing vibe; let their imaginations run wild, but still be grounded in reality. These sentiments were mirrored in fitted leather dresses in neutral tones, jumpers embroidered with designs taken from Fulvia Ferragamo’s sketchbooks, and black shoulderless sheaths and separates with details including fringe and chains. The latter adornment also found itself on a skirt and tasseled column dress, furthering the idea that, like all personalities, it takes a number of links to create a single strand.
