For Karl Lagerfeld’s final ready-to-wear show for Chanel, the Grand Palais was transformed into a winter wonderland with wooden cabins, smoke coming from chimneys, towering pine trees and mounds of snow. After a minute of silence, the music started and the models appeared dressed in oversized tweed jackets, woollen jumpers, ski suits, knit dresses and even fur lined snow boots.
