1. To Infinitee and Beyond
While your favourite white shirts are not going anywhere, the fashion set has given the wardrobe classic a fresh twist—and for some, it’s quite literal. From ruched details, playful peplum hems with an attached belt, an asymmetrical detail or even a ruffle, button-downs even been given an elevated update for that touch of character and edge this season. So, think of it as your wardrobe basic, but with a healthy dose of personality. Style yours with denims for a smart-casual look, or a tailored set for a sophisticated day-to-night ensemble. Amp up the drama with an equally detailed number for smart and dressy vibes.

2. Hot Knits
Fuss-free, comfortable and laced with free-spiritedness, knit co-ords are the perfect transition piece to take you through the seasons; or rather, the only gear you should own in the tropics. They range from soft grunge vibes when worn with leather steppers and a badass attitude, to chunky pastel sets and clogs for that undeniably boho feel. Or simply pick an easy lightweight loosely-knit pairing for a cosy day in—all the different versions of yourself you want to show off!
3. Tie The Knot
Here’s one of the hardest-working accessories in your wardrobe this season—the scarf. While a red paisley version around the neck with a denim fit may evoke trendy cowboy core vibes, a muted silk neckerchief styled with a crisp button-down or tailored fit gives off instant stealth wealth sensibilities. From doubling as a strap twirled around a bag handle, to tying it over a cap for the ultimate street-cool fit, how you wear the humble scarf is totally up to you.

4. Sunny Sight
Whether it is the ’70s glamour-puss iteration at Saint Laurent or the memorable bug-eyed ones at Prada, oversized sunnies were all over the runways, and the street set is all-ready to make opticals cool again. The classic tortoiseshell and black rims will always have our hearts, but it’s the metal frames and clear versions that have us firmly locked in. Cool and effortless, these frames strike a sense of nonchalance with ice-queen vibes, or take your cue from Jonathan Bailey, who is in his slutty-little-glasses era—embrace your inner geek like his character Dr. Henry Loomis in Jurassic World Rebirth or do it with sunnies on the red carpet and beyond. Opt for embellished numbers for a touch of drama, or off-beat styles for some quirky edge.

5. Pillbox Lady
In 1961, Jacqueline Kennedy stole the limelight at her husband John F Kennedy’s presidential inauguration at the White House in her cream coat and matching pillbox hat. That look was later adopted by Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana. The pillbox hat thus became a symbol of elegance, style and sophistication. Today, with renewed interest in tailoring and formalwear, pillbox hats showed up at Chloé and Altuzarra’s spring/summer 2025 collections, and on the streets. To cop the look, take your cue from Alaïa spring/summer 2024, where a black wool version was styled with a basic tank and high-waisted trousers signalling bold, minimalist cool-girl vibes, or do it a la Jackie O and opt for a matching look with a peplum jacket, trousers and a leather topper.

Lauren Pillbox Hat, about $665, Gigi Burris
Faux-Fur Pillbox Hat, about $360, Ruslan Baginskiy
6. Power Shoulders
Shoulders are back, but not in the 1980s tailored blazer way. The new iterations are varied, from theatrical pointed shoulders wrapped in leather to armour-like caged sleeves over a poufy dress that would perfectly suit Helena Bonham Carter in a Tim Burton film. Puff sleeves have also been blown out of proportion, as seen on a utilitarian-styled minidress, or on a white button-down style with an A-line midi skirt. Nostalgic and commanding at the same time, try going monochromatic for a subdued yet impactful look.
7. Fluff Stuff
Every little girl gets excited by tulle, and big girls do too. Whether it is on a skirt, a dress, or even on a top, there’s something romantic and fairy-like about this gauzy material. And, you can match it with your everyday wardrobe. Try it with a baseball jacket or cowboy boots and denims for an off-beat juxtaposition, or go all out in your best prima ballerina fit with layered tulles, stockings and pretty poufy complements. Seriously, there are no rules to feeling your best in a look that your younger self would simply swoon over.
8. Sports Bae
It’s time to get active. Athleisure is no longer simply about throwing on a pair of leggings or a hoodie and striding across the office corridor—the sports-meets-luxury trend has taken a more personal approach. Don your favourite team jersey beneath your corporate get-up, or go all out in motocross grit with raw edged denims and chunky hardware. Sport a fully sequinned rugby jersey as a minidress for a cheeky and extra fancy take. Get ready to floor your co-workers!

9. Patch Of Memory
Remember when ASAP Rocky turned up at the 2021 Met Gala draped in a vibrant patchwork quilt bought from a thrift shop? Quilts have long been used as a vehicle for storytelling, and today, adding this wornderful work of art into your wardrobe can be a way of spicing up your ensemble and spinning your personal narrative at any soirée. Just be sure to do it like ASAP, and pair your epic grandma-core piece with a sharp suit beneath for that contrast between hard and soft.
10. Sneaking Up On You
Let’s be honest, we love our sneakers so much that we wear them almost everywhere, from brunch to boardroom, gym to gala, and anywhere in between. These comfy steppers have evolved from simply being walking or running shoes to becoming statement markers in their own right. And while Cecilie Bahnsen and Comme Des Garçons have teamed up with heritage sports brands to craft functional yet highly decorated sneakers that you can play dress up with any time, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta have also upped the ante with their very own luxurious and desirable versions.

Gel-Terrain Sneakers, $205, Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics
Glass Crystal Embellished Sneakers, $2,358, Comme Des Garçons x Salomon at Farfetch
Monday Heel Shoe, $1,550, Balenciaga
11. Casting Shades
In hot climes like ours, fits in softer and lighter shades are our daily go-to. But even as the runway dictates how we dress our pastels, it’s the street set that has taken the pale palette and mixed it up for good measure. From clashing hues from the opposite sides of the colour wheel to mashing it up with bold textures and silhouettes, who said pastels can only be sweet and delicate?
12. Clear Rules
Who says sheers are confined to the boudoir? Meet the new power players of see-through separates comprising tailored jackets and pencil skirts. Make soft power count when you strategically pair them with leathers, heavy cottons, and grounding steppers for that striking distinction. So shed your inhibitions, and let bold and boss rule your boardroom to bar room fits.
13. Untamed Blooms
Clockwise from left: Shirt, $4,399, Oscar de la Renta at Farfetch. Bag, $13,190, Roger Vivier. Dress, $2,220, Magda Butrym. Brooch, $230, JW Anderson. Skirt, $4,300, Dolce&Gabanna.
Flower power gets loud, proud, and three dimensional to boot. Designers like Ralph Lauren and Elie Saab took to the runway with crochet pieces, opting for a craftier approach. Meanwhile, the fashion set piled the streets in viral Loewe rose pumps and Simone Rocha sheer coats with roses peeking through, complete with stems. Of course, who could forget Miu Miu’s numbers embellished with metal brooches? Go full-on in a fit with clashing prints, or let your blooms speak for themselves with a solid-hued ensemble.
14. Two’s Company
This season, more is more, and that includes your bags as well. For the woman on the go, this is almost natural—a work bag that holds your laptop and work essentials, and a smaller (and fancier) one atop for well-deserved after-work drinks. Hang your mini bag as a bag charm accompanying the main tote or take your cue from Louis Vuitton, which has this look down pat. A favourite of ours? Bottega Veneta’s “feather” plastic bag styled with a timeless number.
15. Pirate With Panache
Ahoy, matey! With the influx of free-spirited boho looks, rugged style and a heavy dose of romantic edge, piratecore is on its way in. Think voluminous separates for ease of movement, dreamy ruffles juxtaposed with slouchy elements, vibrate prints and textures reminiscent of far-flung travels. Pair them with offbeat, chunky accessories to add to that eclectic mix.
167. High Life
Opulence is in full glory as collars become a focal point of the fashion season. Once a status symbol of European elites—think Queen Elizabeth I in her collared glory—the more elaborate your ruff, the richer you were, as the materials to make them were costly and hard to maintain; you also needed assistance when wearing them. Today, with Nicolas Ghesquière’s love for Renaissance silhouettes, ruffs were seen spilling out of billowy lapels at Louis Vuitton; while at Alexander McQueen, fuzzy iterations were styled with a gilded gold jacket—mysterious and regal at the same time. Opt for an Elizabethan-style collar, detachable, of course; to add drama to an otherwise unassuming ensemble, or take centrestage with a glamorous fit. Frill seekers, it’s your time to shine.

17. Strap In
The ubiquitous belt is being reinterpreted both on the runway and on the streets. No longer used to hold up one’s trousers, they are now used the way you would layer necklaces. Think of it as a waist party, as seen at Miu Miu.
From left to right: $1,100, Gucci. $2,400, Miu Miu. $1,010, Bottega Veneta. $2,888, Alexandre Vauthier at Farfetch.
You can also create your own silhouette with multiple leather belts strapped across your body for added edge, or opt for an offbeat yet classy fit with a multi-belt design to ease into the trend. Whatever your preference, strap yourself in and get ready for some drama.
18. Class in Session
There’s always something appealing about preppiness—maybe it’s the nostalgia of good ol’ school days, or the charm of a more innocent time, or perhaps it’s the sense of structure in the way the style is put together. While you can’t go wrong with a foolproof blazer-crisp shirt-pleated skirt combo, don’t be afraid to go against the grain by mixing proportions and adding a touch of character to your collegiate fit with playful accessories. The key is sticking to some classic elements like loafers-and-socks or a vest with a blazer.

19. Beauty in the Beasts
Your zodiac sign is not the only animal you can have an affinity for. There are other options, whether it’s your beloved pet or a spirit animal that you think best represents you. And you can embrace this inner beast with fun fashion fits. Try animal motifs on comfy knit sweaters from JW Anderson or go avant-garde with a Björk-esque swan dress in delicate embroidered lace. Don’t be afraid to ruffle feathers in a multi-piece flamingo outfit that exudes boldness, or in a chic and sleek goose-print dress.
20. Creature Comforts
From holding all your daily essentials, to adding that extra oomph to your fit, to being a fuzzy friend that provides a much needed snuggle spot during anxious moments, or even a pillow to rest your cheeks on on your commute—find a bag that serves you in more ways than one. Often made in shearling or faux fur, tuck your oversized cushy accessory under your arm for a cool girl aesthetic that still shows your soft side.
Bag, about $561, Ganni
Bag, $598, Blumarine at Farfetch
21. Cat’s Meow
While our feline friends use their spots as a form of camouflage, the fashion crowd loves donning these markings to stake their claim in the concrete jungle. Make a statement with a leopard print separate styled with timeless minimalist accessories, or opt for a slick tiger print to show off your stripes. Or go one better for the ultimate mob-wife aesthetic, with an ensemble that combines both leopard and tiger prints, complete with a luxurious fur collar. Now, that’s what we call fierce fashion.

22. Shorty Gets Smart
A little roomy and a whole lot of comfort, bermuda shorts have come a long way and remain, albeit discreetly, a mainstay throughout the seasons. Lightly grazing the knees, these tailored shorts are more versatile than you think. Take your cue from Chloé’s cruise 2025 collection, which had varying versions in velvet, leather and cotton—all styled with an airy counterpart for an effortless feel; or go with a matching jacket for a put-together look that can easily take you into the boardroom in style. Elevate the casual vibe with strappy heels or heeled mules and you’re good to go.

23. The Tie That Binds
Girlies, it’s time to swap your bows for neckties! While Diane Keaton’s iconic character set the ball rolling in Annie Hall by nonchalantly tucking hers under a waistcoat, Princess Diana showed off an emerald green skirt suit with a matching skinny tie in 1985, and then again in 1994 with a classic pantsuit and a playful elephant embroidered tie.
From left to right: $325, Alexander McQueen. $390, CELINE. $545, Prada. $360, Thom Browne. $360, Gucci.
Fast forward to today, Bella Hadid strutted down the Saint Laurent spring/summer 2025 runway in a number reminiscent of the late Saint Laurent himself, complete with wide-framed glasses. Take this as your sign to take on the once heavily gendered corporate essential and call it your own.
24. All Decked Out
As new trends start popping up and weave their way into our wardrobes, our favourite blues have been reinvented and refreshed yet again—this time in the guise of fancy denim. While Area’s pre-fall 2024 collection sparked an interest in crystal-embellished and cut-out denims, heritage brands such as Levi’s have always encouraged upcycling and customising your current blues to make them new again. Whether you’re going for a blinged up route or street-chic vibe, let your favourite jeans take on a personality of their own.
