When it comes to the sleek, architectural school of thought in the realm of fine jewellery, Bvlgari’s B.zero1 line is one of the top names that come to mind, with its fluid. geometric form meant to be a nod to Rome’s famous Colosseum building when the line was first designed back in 1999.

Now a uniquely industrial staple in its own right in Bvlgari’s typically colourful lexicon, the B.zero1 line has undergone many iterations and tweaks – with the latest being the B.zero1 New Classic pieces. Unlike recent additions to the B.zero1 family (such as the studded B.zero1 Rock designs), the New Classic pieces are pretty subtle – call it a return to its original design ethos.

The most distinctive detail that sets the New Classic pieces apart is the inclusion of a diamond-set “wave” edge along the exterior rim of the ring, which adds a subtly organic touch to the design.

For now, the New Classic pieces are available only on the three-band rings (in 18K yellow, white or pink gold), as well as necklaces that come with pendants similar to the rings (only more miniature in size) – but for those who dig a classic with just that bit more oomph, we imagine there’ll be more iterations to come in time.
