Tiffany & Co. blasted into the stratosphere for its latest high jewellery collection—Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste. Inspired by the fantastical and poetic brilliance of the stars, chief artistic officer Nathalie Verdeille reimagined Jean Schlumberger’s celestial repertoire with new scintillating creations that transcend high jewellery as we know it.

“Our exploration into [Jean Schlumberger’s] work began with Blue Book 2023: Out of the Blue. We immersed ourselves in the depths of the ocean to reinterpret his fantastical vision of the aquatic world. For Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste, in contrast with the sea, the stars provided a new lens to rediscover the extent of Jean Schlumberger’s fantasy world,” says Verdeille.
Tiffany Céleste Spring Collection
The entire collection is split into three phases—spring, summer and fall—with the first suite of jewels consisting of six themes: Wings, Arrow, Constellation, Iconic Star, Ray of Light and Apollo.
Dazzling white diamonds and blue sapphires set in platinum and yellow gold twisted ropes, a Schlumberger signature, make up the Wings theme that synthesised the designer’s archival feathery silhouettes and the ethereal spirit of the Pegasus constellation.

The Constellation and Iconic Star themes represent the sea of stars in the night sky. Both were distilled from Schlumberger’s archival sketches and each piece is imbued with elements borrowed from the twinkling patterns and the literal shapes of stars, especially with the glistening star sapphires and free-form aquamarines that resemble meteorites.
Several archival brooches by Schlumberger guided the American jeweller to create breathtaking chapters. The arrows of the Tiffany Trophée de Vaillance brooch, crafted in 1941, were re-envisioned as golden arrows soaring through the air in this collection punctuated with vivid green Colombian emeralds.
The Apollo brooch, inspired by electrons circling an atom also birthed a stunning suite of pavé masterpieces with graphic golden claws highlighting the incomparable radiance of yellow and white diamonds.
The Ray of Light jewels take the lead from Tiffany brooches that emulate gilded sunrays with red and pink spinels emanating a fiery glow akin to the sun itself. The true star within this lineup is an incredibly versatile necklace that doubles as an opulent tiara with a 4-carat pear-shaped spinel, a style not seen in recent Blue Books.

The sun is also referenced in the recent summer launch revealed during Haute Couture Fashion Week in June 2024 with a new chapter—Flames—that evokes the solar flares’ blazing and wild nature. The diamond-heavy pieces are set on platinum and yellow gold that twist and curve mimicking a flickering fire.
The Shooting Star creations unite the celestial theme with another archival Schlumberger by Tiffany designs. Billowing ribbons adorned with diamonds echo the glittering trails of a star, in this case, deep purple amethysts soaring through the sky.
The last chapter, Peacock, draws from the majestic iridescence of the fowl’s feathers with an array of tanzanites and green tourmalines depicting the shifting blue and green hues. While the lore of this phenomenal bird precedes itself, there is a massive blue star in the galaxy known as Pavo, Latin for peacock.
“Jean Schlumberger was drawn to the mythical spirit of the peacock. Our interpretation of this creature was inspired by its remarkable iridescent plumage. The colours of the peacock’s feathers are known to create a sense of awe in the observer. The vibrant stones in this chapter will undoubtedly do the same.”
The entire collection is a deep exploration of Schlumberger’s rich imagination regarding the infinite frontier of space. At the same time, it is also a celebration of his mesmerising body of work that continues to inspire dreamers and visionaries who appreciate the thinking behind the craft of majestic jewellery.
