Mere hours after giving birth to her third child, a baby boy, the Duchess of Cambridge is leaving St Mary's Hospital. Donning a red dress with a lace Peter Pan collar, Kate Middleton is glowing, with her hair down in loose waves and her makeup subtle, accompanied by her husband Prince William. Always perfectly accessorized, the new mom pairs her look with drop pearl earrings and sensible nude pumps.

The dress closely mirrors the red dress Princess Diana wore when she exited the hospital after giving birth to her second son Prince Harry. It shares not only the same hue, but a white contrasting collar as well. In keeping with the style of the mid-1980s however, Diana's dress came complete with bold shoulder pads. Kate has a history of twinning with her husband's deceased mother, with the two sharing a penchant for elegant high-fashion looks.

Middleton wore custom dresses by the designer Jenny Packham to leave the hospital after giving birth to both of her first two children, George and Charlotte. With George she donned a floral French blue frock, embracing yellow for her first girl. This simple red dress is in keeping with her primary color palette.

The 36-year old mom-of-three is heading back to one of her and William's residences at Kensington Palace or Anmer Hall in Norfolk with the royal heir, who is fifth in line to the throne. There is still no word yet on the name of baby number three, but royal watchers have bets on familial monikers like Philip, Albert or Alexander.
