The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this evening joined the Queen at Buckingham Palace as she hosted a reception to hand out awards as part of the Queen’s Young Leaders of 2018.
The programme is designed to discover, celebrate and support exceptional young people from across the Commonwealth. Winners received a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK and, of course, the opportunity to meet Her Majesty.

The Queen’s Young Leaders Awards was launched in 2014 in a bid to find incredible young people who are dedicated to making a lasting change in their community and beyond. The programme also gives out grants that help provide youngsters to learn new skills, enter employment and have a voice in their communities.

For the occasion, Meghan opted for a light pink Prada top and matching skirt with button detail which she accessorised with a Prada clutch and Aquazzura heels.

This is not the first official engagement Meghan has undertaken with the Queen since she entered the royal family. The Duchess has joined the monarch for a number of occasions, including for the Trooping The Colour Parade and for Royal Ascot.
Meghan also attended her first solo engagement with the Queen earlier this month when the two travelled to Cheshire together – and looked to have a lovely time.
