Zoë Kravitz has revealed that she is engaged to actor Karl Glusman – and has been for some time. The actress announced the exciting news in an interview with Rolling Stone, where she explained that Glusman proposed in a very low-key manner back in February.

"Oh yeah, I'm engaged," Kravitz reportedly told interviewer Josh Eells when he noticed that she was wearing a diamond on her left ring finger. "No, I'm engaged! I haven't told anyone yet – I mean, I haven't told the world. I wanted to keep it private."

According to the magazine, Glusman had planned to pop the question on a romantic trip to Paris, but due to a work conflict, the actor ended up proposing in their living room instead. He had lit some candles and his heart was racing, so much so that Kravitz was concerned about his health.

"I was like, 'Baby are you OK?' I was actually worried about him," she said.

Then, when he got down on one knee, she said: "Yes stretch, stretch to calm your heart down!"

Because she was totally oblivious to what was about to happen, Kravitz said that it was actually the perfect proposal: "He nailed it. And I love that it wasn't some elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants."

The couple have been dating for two years after being introduced through mutual friends and have kept their relationship fairly private, so we are unlikely to know much about the wedding until after it has taken place.

In the interview, Kravitz also touched on some much less happy moments in her past, opening up about being sexually harassed by a director (whom she chose not to name) when she was just 19.

"I definitely worked with a director who made me very uncomfortable," she said. "I was young — maybe 19 or 20 — and we were on location, staying at the same hotel. And it was full-on: 'Can I come inside your room?' Just totally inappropriate. And then he’d do things like come to the make-up trailer and touch my hair. Or say, 'Let me see your costume — turn around?' It’s just never OK for someone to do that. Especially when they’re in a position of power."

The actress also talked about actor Bill Cosby, who worked with her mother Lisa Bonnet on The Cosby Show, explaining that the two never got along.

"Her and him never got along. Whether he was attracted to her, or he resented her having a mind of her own, she always got a weird vibe from him. A dark vibe."
