1. Each Element Represents Distinct Themes

At its core, 4 Elements uses the four elemental arcs as a thematic framework, with each series focusing on a distinct narrative. Earth represents stability, legacy and family roots. In the 4 Elements universe, The Earth is set based on family land and tells a story of family, responsibility and the duties of protecting one’s family legacy. Water flows through emotion and memories. The Water is set at a coastal resort, with a story exploring themes of longing and healing from past wounds. Air transitions into something lighter, with The Air’s narrative centred on freedom, ambition and falling in love without inhibitions. Fire burns with intensity, passion and conflict. The Fire tells a story of characters driven by passion, rivalry and desire.
2. The Drama Is An Adaptation Of a Novel Series
The blockbuster project is based on a four-part novel series by renowned Thai author Salmon. The novels follow four cousins, each navigating complex relationships shaped by their unique hardships, personalities and the symbolic nature of their element.
3. There Are Four Pairs And Four Shows
The Earth

Setting the tone for the entire project is The Earth, starring Apple Lapisara Intarasut and Mim Panthita Jencharoentham. The story centres on Din (Apple), a wealthy heiress who’s forced to return home after a suspicious incident leaves her family’s land at risk. Her only ally is Rose (Mim), a childhood friend and owner of a nearby ranch. The pair team up to protect their assets and to protect their family’s legacy, only for the calculated arrangement to evolve into something more complicated.

The Air

The Air is all about freedom, and the fear of falling. Starring Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong, the series follows two characters who come from vastly different worlds: Princess Blue (Becky) and Lom (Freen), a security guard hired to protect the princess. A life-altering incident forces them to spend 24/7 together, complicating their relationship and testing their trust.
The Air is set to premiere on 16 May and will be available to stream on iQIYI.
The Fire
The Fire closes off the 4 Elements saga with an intense storyline to match. Starring Namneung Milin Watinthanakit and Noey Kanteera Wadcharathadsanakul, this final arc turns up the heat with a story driven by rivalry and ambition. The plot centres around two women: Fai (Namneung), the youngest daughter of a wealthy family and Kaphrao (Noey), the daughter of one of the family’s employees. Due to family tragedies, Kaphro is taken in by Fai’s family and ends up competing for Fai’s father’s approval and affection. Fifteen years after being separated, the pair reunite unexpectedly, forcing them to address past conflicts.
The Fire is set to premiere on 11 July and will be available to stream on iQIYI.

4. The Series Share The Same Universe
While each story centres on its own duos and elemental themes, the narratives from each of the shows exist within the same world, with overlapping timelines, shared families and recurring characters that bridge each instalment. The lead pairs make appearances across each other’s stories through cameo moments or shared events, allowing chemistry to exist not just between the leading ladies, but as a whole ensemble.
Not to mention, the possibility of EngLot, FreenBecky, AppleMim and NamNoey appearing together in a single scene would be nothing short of iconic.
