A 'Friends' Cookbook Is Coming Your Way This Fall
You can finally recreate Monica's recipes for the ultimate Friendsgiving dinner
While you patiently wait for the Friends reunion special—featuring original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry—that has been put on hold because of the United States’ Shelter-in-Place orders, here’s a little something to tide you over: a Friends cookbook featuring more than 100 recipes, slated for release on 22 September on Amazon.
Complete with everything from appetisers to main courses and desserts, chapters in Friends: The Official Cookbook features iconic dishes such as Monica’s recipes for the ultimate Friendsgiving dinner, Phoebe’s grandmother’s chocolate-chip cookies recipe and a “Just for Joey Fries Board”—which is an ode to the episode where Joey refuses to go out again with Phoebe’s friend because (spoiler alert!) she kept stealing his fries. And if you're a die-hard fan, you’d know that its because “Joey. Doesn’t. Share. Food.”.
The volume, blessed by Warner Brothers, is authored by Chinese, Norwegian, and African-American expatriate chef Amanda Yee. She’s best known for having worked extensively in critically acclaimed restaurants, while managing Five & Dime—a community-based supper club in Oakland, California.
The hardcover cookbook is available for pre-order here.
