teamLab: Infinite Existence
teamLab, Lotus Elephant © teamLab
International art collective teamLab is in town for its first solo exhibit at Supper House. The showcase will see eight monitor-based works inspired by the visual language of premodern East Asian paintings, which combines multiple viewpoints, shifting perspectives and time periods into a single image.
Here, teamLab expands on their concept of “Ultrasubjective Space”, which subverts the Western practice of featuring a single, fixed subject in their art. This exhibition in particular offers viewers and quieter and more contemplative look at teamLab’s work.
You’ll see digital installations including “Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity II”, which explores the cycle of life and death through flowers that emerge, change and disappear as the day progresses; and “Universe of Water Particles – Gold”, a virtual waterfall of cascading water particles, among others.
teamLab: Infinite Existence runs from now to 8 November 2026 at #04-02, Supper House, Tanjong Pagar Distripark, 37 Keppel Road, from 12 to 7pm Thursdays to Saturdays and 12 to 5pm on Sundays. For more information, visit Supper House’s site.
Birkenstock Walk Naturally
More screen time, more problems. If you’re looking to disconnect for a couple of hours, Birkenstock is hosting a whole series of fun events across New Bahru for the community. They’ve taken over the famous slide on the lawn and collaborated with stores like Crafune, Make by Ginlee and Soilboy for exclusive merch like bag charms featuring silhouettes from the German footwear brand and even your very own sustainable mini planter.
You can also pop by Off Duty Pilates for a quick workout sesh, then head to Atipico to taste an exclusive menu featuring toasted focaccia with mirin-glazed mushrooms and brioche filled with vanilla cream. Or, try one of their two drinks: a berry yuzu soda and a banana and mango shake blended with coconut milk.
Our tip? Stop at the kiosk out front if you’re rocking your Birks—you’ll get to redeem a complimentary coffee from PPP Coffee, while stocks last. We also hear that there’ll be a few more exciting pop-ups to come over the month, so keep your eyes peeled.
Coming up soon is Walk With The Pack, a collaboration between Birkenstock and Pop Pop Pet that will take you and your furry friend on a stroll around the New Bahru neighbourhood and the Singapore river.
Birkenstock Walk Naturally runs from now to 26 October 2026 at New Bahru, 46 Kim Yam Road, from 9am to 8pm Sundays to Thursdays and 9am to 9pm Fridays and Saturdays. The event is open to all, but selected experiences require advance registration. Walk With The Pack is happening on 24 October 2026, from 5pm to 7pm, and you can register and find more details here. For more information, visit Birkenstock’s site.
The Story of Studio Ghibli
Further out on the horizon, but worth flagging now, is the world premiere of The Story of Studio Ghibli at Gardens by the Bay this December. Spanning nearly 3,500 square metres, it will be the first time an exhibition of this scale dedicated to the storied Japanese animation studio has opened anywhere in the world, with Singapore given the honour of hosting its debut.
The show promises 12 fully realised environments, each drawing from a different corner of the Ghibli universe. From the pastoral wonder of My Neighbor Totoro to the eerie, bathhouse-bound world of Spirited Away, the coming-of-age charm of Kiki's Delivery Service, and the environmental gravity of Princess Mononoke.
For a studio whose visual language has become genuinely iconic, and instantly recognisable even to those who've never seen the films, the promise of walking through these worlds physically, rather than watching them on screen, is a significant one.
The Story Of Studio Ghibli runs from 18 December 2026 to 4 July 2027 at West Lawn, Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Drive. Book an early bird ticket on Klook here.

“Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time”
“Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time”, a permanent exhibition staged at National Museum of Singapore, encourages visitors to voyage into Singapore’s 700 years of history, hinging on the sea as a key player to our island’s transformation over the years.
The showcase happens over five chapters, opening with a ‘time-travelling’ vessel that offers a glimpse of Singapore in the future, before taking guests back in time to see pivotal points in Singapore’s history. Descend the ramp and see moments from Singapore’s first National Day Parade, early nation-building efforts and our mythical past along the way, all told from the perspective of the sea.
More magic awaits at the base of the Glass Rotunda. Step through a towering digital waterfall to find more scenes from the past, and tap your RFID bracelet against a ‘well’ to release your adopted magical companion into the ocean.
“Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time” runs daily from 10am to 6pm. Book a slot here and find more information on National Museum of Singapore’s website.
