Watch Narelle Kheng Paint The Town Pink With Dior Addict Stellar Shine In Seoul

Like the Dior Addict woman, the power of pink cannot be confined or controlled. This line of shine lipsticks fuse the best of both worlds: Bold pigment in 24 shades of pink in all its different forms—from statement fuchsias to fiery corals and bold plums; and a nourishing balmy formula that cocoons lips in luxurious comfort and 24-hour hydration, thanks to a blend of natural beeswax and five ultra-sensorial oils. These lipsticks launched in similar stellar fashion, like comets exploding on the scene in a series of scintillating parties across the globe—each attended by a star-studded guest list, all wearing and embodying pink in myriad ways. We attended the #BeDiorBePink soiree in Seoul, Korea, together with Peter Philips; Cara Delevingne, the new face of Dior Addict; Korean artists Sun Mi and Dean, who performed a full-house set each; and Singaporean singer Narelle Kheng, who we spent some quality time with to find out what pink symbolises in her life, her music evolution as a solo artist, and what she loves about Dior Addict Stellar Shine.

A bold pink lip makes me feel… Feminine, and also like a badass.

My favourite shades are… The iconic Be Dior and bold pink Lucky, and deep purple DiorCelestial.

The Dior Addict Stellar Shine is… Shiny and luxurious—I love the balmy texture and how it keeps my lips super hydrated, and how the colours are so bright and glossy.

I love wearing pink because… It compliments my skin tone, and I love warmer tones because they make me think of sunrise and sunset.

The Dior Addict woman represents… Everything I think a woman should be. We are feminine, we are sweet, and we are sassy.

The power of pink is… When you’re happy and blushing, flushed with emotion. Pink encapsulates all the qualities that make me proud to be a woman. And it just feels so full of life, it feels rich and fun and at the same time kind of sultry.

As a solo artist, Narelle Kheng is… Honest, vulnerable and nervous, but also determined and unafraid. Solo Narelle is trying to find who she really is.

“Outta My Head” is… My newest song as a solo artist—and it is pretty dark, because I felt like before I could address anything else in my life, I had to first face the person I hated the most. So “Outta My Head” is about indulging in everything that I don’t want to be or feel.

The greatest lessons since going solo have been… Basically everything. For one, I’ve recently been trying to shrink my mountains—you always picture things you’re scared of to be worse than they really are—so right now I’m learning to be more realistic about things and know that I’m actually better than what I think I am.

My goals are… Learning to be more open and intimate with those around me. To really get to know them, because sometimes all I want to do is curl up into a cocoon. I want to have that honest connection with all of my friends and fans, and to build a family base on social media.

I am passionate about… Justice. I’m a libra, so I like things to be balanced and fair. I also am passionate about good energy and being a good energy—I can’t stand seeing someone sad, and I feel the need and know how to make people feel better about themselves because that alone makes me feel better as well.
