The momentum of brand partnerships from 2021 has continued into 2022.

From sports-fashion collabs that bridge the gap between luxury labels and sportswear behemoths to the Fendace collection by Fendi and Versace that has had fans all excited, here are some of the buzziest tie-ups right now.

Adidas x Balenciaga

In a hype-inducing release, the two brands showcased their joint project on Balenciaga’s resort 2023 runway in New York City, and the collection was shortly up for purchase on Balenciaga’s website.

The 33-piece collection by creative director Demna is, according to the label, “all marked with a badge of sport or trefoil logo over the name Balenciaga in the lowercase Adidas typeface”.

These include Balenciaga’s Triple-S and Speed Trainers now given the Adidas treatment, alongside oversized hoodies, sporty hoodies and puffer jackets, and T-shirts. For the ladies, there’s also a spaghetti strap mini dress.

Unfortunately, the pre-order for the collection’s available only til May 29, on Balenciaga’s website.

Balenciaga isn’t the only luxury brand Adidas is teaming up with.

Earlier in May, Gucci and Adidas also dropped the news that the two are releasing a ready-to-wear collection, curated by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele. The campaign images, inspired by archival catalogues, tease a sporty retro aesthetic that still feels fresh and stylishly cheeky.

There’s modern suiting featuring the lateral three stripes, track suits, tennis-inspired polos and skirts, leather bags and shoes, all splashed with a mix of Adidas and Gucci’s logos and visual identities.

The collection touches down on June 7 in select Gucci boutiques and online, and on the Adidas Confirmed app.

Jacquemus x Nike

French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is putting his brand of minimalism on Nike’s sportswear. Reinterpreting women’s sportswear in a way delivers as much on style as it does on performance, the 15-piece line-up will be defined by sensuous details and neutral tones.

So far, we’ve only had a peek at two of the pieces of the collection — a dress with a key-hole back tethered wth a gold chain that’ll look as good in the gym as it will in the club. There’s also a pair of Humara sneakers with a tiny swoosh.

The collection will be available from June 28, 2022, exclusively via Jacquemus’s e-commerce site and Nike stores, and will include unisex footwear.

Fendi x Versace

It’s a luxury Italian house crossover.

Dubbed the Fendace collection, it’s a ‘swap’ born out of the friendship between Versace chief creative officer Donatella VersaceDonatella Versace and Fendi artistic director Fendi.

Featuring Fendi by Versace, as well as Versace by Fendi, expect a maximalist aesthetic, with statement wardrobe pieces bearing both the Fendi double F logo, as well as Versace’s baroque prints and Medusa emblem. Fendi’s Fendi First, Peekaboo and Baguette bags now come emblazoned with Versace codes, and you can also look forward to a silk jacket, a jersey dress, slides and more sporting co-branded graphic designs.

The full collection has officially dropped in stores and will be available at both Fendi and Versace boutiques.

Givenchy has released a luxury limited-edition capsule collection called ‘The Wonder Gallery’ that serves as an ode to some of the most beloved characters from Disney.

You’ll come across Bambi, Pongo and Perdita from 101 Dalmations, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen and the Disney Heritage character Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. Givenchy’s 4G emblem and signature padlock motif also make their presence felt as leitmotifs. Available on the fashion house’s website, Disney fans can anticipate a second capsule on the horizon later this year, too.

Magic Kingdom and Character T-shirts are priced from $750 to $850, and hoodies at $1,150.

Uniqlo x Marni

Marni has lent its distinctively bold style to Uniqlo’s range of minimalist and practical clothing.

For the first time, the functionality, minimalism and fabric innovation of Uniqlo’s LifeWear is punctuated with Marni’s art-focused design approach on colours, shapes and prints. Think pop-style, gingham and warm graphic prints alongside warm summery and earthy hues of red, cobalt, khaki, ecru and olive green.

Marni’s DNA is reflected in the silhouettes too, with relaxed cuts and balloon updates, like a Blocktech coat in a cocoon silhouette.  For the men, there are tailored jackets, oversized utility jackets in solid colours and gingham prints, and colour block Pocketable Parkas.

Prices range from $79.90 to $199.90 for outerwear, $39.90 to $59.90 for shirts and blouses, $39.90 to $99.90 for dresses and $14.90 for accessories (socks).

The full collection will be launched at Orchard Central Global Flagship, ION Orchard, Tampines Mall, 51@AMK and online at UNIQLO.com. Selected items available at all stores.
