Twitter Reacts To Mariah Carey Hearing J.Lo’s New Year’s Eve Performance During An Interview

It's no secret that there's little love lost between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. So it should come as no surprise that Carey might have thrown some shade J.Lo's way during the "Jenny from the Block" singer's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve performance.
While Lopez was hitting the stage in Times Square last night, Carey was being interviewed on CNN by Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. The "We Belong Together" singer could hear the furore in Times Square and asked, "What’s going on in the background? I’m hearing music." Cohen responded, "Yeah, we got J.Lo behind us, actually."
Viewers took to Twitter to point out Carey's reaction to hearing J.Lo during her interview, and suggested that the "All I Want for Christmas" singer was less than impressed.

The so-called shade dates back to a German TV interview when Carey was asked about J.Lo and she unforgettably replied, "I don't know her." While Carey has since played down rumors of a feud, fans have never quite let go of the narrative, as evidenced by last night's reaction when Carey heard J.Lo singing.
