Kaia Gerber Pays Tribute To “Style Twin” Mom Cindy Crawford On Her 55th Birthday

It's pretty clear that model Kaia Gerber has inherited a lot from her mother, Cindy Crawford. In honour of her mom's 55th birthday, Gerber shared a multitude of photos of the iconic supermodel on Instagram, and paid tribute to her "style twin."

"happy birthday beautiful mama ❤️," Gerber wrote, "to the person who always makes me do a double take, the woman who gets more beautiful every year, and the mother I can only hope to be like one day... @cindycrawford I love you."

Gerber posted an effortless photo of Crawford, and further celebrated her mom's attributes in her Instagram Stories, calling the supermodel her "style twin" and admiring her mother's perfect hair.

Crawford also took to Instagram to celebrate the important occasion. Sharing a throwback photo, and a new pic of her posing with a birthday cake, Crawford wrote, "From this... to this in a blink of an eye! Thank you for all my birthday wishes. I am so filled with gratitude for my family and friends. I know each year, each day, is a blessing ❤️."

When Gerber followed in her mother's footsteps and started modeling, Crawford said in an interview with The Edit (via ELLE), "Today models are expected to be so tiny, and I worry about that for her, because that was never my natural body type and I don't think it'll be hers either ... Still, I'll say to her, 'Enjoy carbs while you can!' Kaia's blossoming into such a beautiful young woman and I really want to let her shine."
