BAZAAR Exclusive: Behind The Scenes Of Suzy’s Visit To Singapore With Celine

With CELINE’s unveiling of its new store at ION Orchard comes the arrival of a guest whose name is known to virtually every k-drama fan: Suzy.

For fans of Korean entertainment, the idol-turned-actress is a figure synonymous with the industry, having been in showbiz for 15 years and counting. Audiences were first introduced to Suzy in 2010 as Miss A’s visual. She soon catapulted to meteoric levels of fame when she made her acting debut a year later in the hit television series Dream High (2011).

Today, she has cemented her status as one of South Korea’s hottest stars, both and off-screen. As a CELINE ambassador, she never fails to impress in chic and understated outfits that express her impeccable sense of style. Prior to attending CELINE’s ION Orchard store opening, we got an exclusive glimpse of Suzy getting ready before the event.

Getting Ready

It’s easy to see why CELINE decided to tap “The Nation’s First Love”, a nickname affectionately given to Suzy by South Koreans, as one of its brand ambassadors; after all, her sophisticated personal style aligns perfectly with the French fashion label.

Here, the sleeveless marinière sweater in ecru and black wool is right on brand for the 30-year-old, who has an affinity for simple yet stylish looks. She paired the sweater with the Jane flare jeans. Throwing on the Aviator jacket in soft black lambskin added an extra layer of finesse, bringing an edge to the outfit that oozes Parisian chic.

To elevate the outfit, Suzy accessorised with the Clara bag in Triomphe canvas and tan calfskin, along with the CELINE kitten Triomphe strap pump in calfskin black.

At the Event

Trading in her casual look for a more refined one, Suzy was a vision in beige at CELINE’s ION Orchard store—where the brand’s ready-to-wear pieces, leather goods, accessories and Haute Parfumerie as well as beauty lines are offered. She arrived in a matching embroidered top and mini skirt in vanilla wool and mohair, along with black kitten Triomphe pumps.

Also in attendance at the ION Orchard boutique opening was fellow CELINE ambassador and K-drama luminary Park Bo Gum, who looked dapper in the Spencer navy wool jacket embellished with gold details and Chelsea boots. The visually-arresting pair played the leading couple in Wonderland, a sci-fi romance film that was released in 2024.

Nothing says ‘minimalist’ like the newly-launched Camille 16 Soft Bag. At the event, it was Suzy’s bag of choice, which perfectly tied her ensemble together.
