Alexander McQueen’s latest partnership with Vestiaire Collective is proof that luxury fashion consumption can be circular. The buy-back initiative also marks the launch of the e-retailer’s ‘Brand Approved’ programme, and fortifies the Alexander McQueen’s commitment towards sustainability.

The accrual process of this new project is simple, yet effective. Selected clients will be contacted by Alexander McQueen’s representatives to suss out their interest in selling preloved pieces. The eligibility of which will be then assessed by a salesperson, before authenticating it with the British label.

Once all criteria have been met, Vestiaire Collective will process the pieces for sale and issue the seller with a credit note that can be used to purchase new items from Alexander McQueen’s latest collection. The secondhand clothing will also sport an external NFC tag, that will enable prospective buyers to access information authenticating them.
